Short but sweet - all tied up!

God Bless all those affected by the floods here in Iowa. We had only a small trickle in our basement and feel blessed that is all we had. Our hearts and our prayers go out to all those in Birdland Marina area, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Mississippi river valley, and anywhere else where those are affected by the water.

And it's tied up! Hawkeyes came through last week, so the score is now tied up at three a piece! Pictures below of both the latest custom boards! Cornhole in Iowa is going strong!
Thanks to Audrey, Wade, Kyle, Glen and Tom for their latest orders!

Attention to Details

As I was in an email discussion with my friend Tom late last week, he was asking me about the "bag business." I stated it was going well, and I had an order from a lady who just wanted something I had in stock. Well, as most of you know, this is a custom order company, so I rarely carry anything but the naked or primed boards. Each game is hand painted and custom detailed. However, I did have one that I painted for the Iowa State-Texas game last year, and after confering with the wonderful lady from Pennsylvania, she decided those colors would work. So I dug it out of the stock pile when I noticed it was a little scratched up and needed some touch ups. Instead of hastily just sending it out, I took the time to repaint the white and orange (ok, you UT fans - BURNT ORANGE). My friend Tom, knowing me pretty well, knew that my attention to detail is often overkill. But it is all about custom service and keeping the customer happy.

I truly hope that each and everyone who orders a custom game board from me is 100% satisfied. I remember a saying that went something like:

"If someone is extremely satisfied with your work, they will tell two people. If someone is extremely unsatisfied with the job you did, they will tell ten people."

I still like my odds with the two better!

Tri-Iowa Boards!

Represent Iowa! Just finished delivering three game boards, and if I don't say so myself, I think they are pretty sharp! I, of course, think the University of Northern Iowa Panther one looks the best (my alma mater)!

I really didn't step too far out of the box on these, but I do like the stripe with the bubble on the Panther board. I am going to do an Iowa State Cyclone one like that for a lucky family in Nevada, Iowa (yes, the town with a state name - although we pronounce it "na-VADE-a").

Also thanks to Darrell, John, Jim, Tammy and Wade for their recent orders. I hope you enjoy the games!

Stay tuned for the photos for the Iowa State Cyclone board coming soon!

Hawkeye fans better start representing! It is now 2-1 Cyclones for the 2008 year!
