Thanksgiving Cornhole Games & Latest Cornhole Orders

Wow! Still stuffed from all that turkey! For the 10th year in a row, I deep fried a turkey. A lot of folks up here in Des Moines don't think that is the healthiest way to cook, but I beg to differ. The peanut oil sears in the juices and bakes the turkey in its own juices. Click here to link to a great article on the preparation as well as some information on deep friend turkeys.

I showed the in-laws the game boards and, of course, my nieces needed to play. We sat the red and yellow style cornhole game less than the required distance apart (of course, since my nieces are 4 and 6). They loved it! Not sure if it was because it was something to do on a cool November day indoors, or if it was because Gracie was hitting the hole almost everytime.

I also sent out the first Packer style game board on Friday. Check out the pictures here. It mimics the helmet top of the Packers, and if I didn't have a Cyclone colored board already, this one would be mine! I can do this style of board to mimic any NFL team colors, and have an order to mimic the Kansas City Chiefs pants stripes.

Order soon if you want a great cornhole gift for that special tailgater for Christmas!

NFL Matchup - Chiefs vs Packers

Wow! Never imagined that such great weather would follow us down to Kansas City for this weekends game between the Packers and the Chiefs. We bought a red parking pass (which got us 50 feet from the stadium) and got to the stadium a little before 8am. We had to wait a while before we got in to park and start tailgating, and we were backed up on Interstate 70 for 30 minutes, but had a good time playing condiment poker, a new game invented by my friend Ryan.

So we got to our spot, hung the Packer and the Pirate flags, and got out the tailgate equipment. We had a grill to go, which I would recommend to any serious tailgater. We made breakfast burritos (eggs, bacon, potatoes, yum!) We then started throwing the bags!!! Our cornhole game was a hit! We had a bunch of both KC fans and Packer fans come and play and ask questions. I told them to make sure to check out our specials page for a little savings on the cornhole game.

Funny thing as well (which is probably common sense in the KC area), no beer sales until noon on Sunday. Go we were gracious tailgaters and donated a couple beers to a couple of thirsty Packer fans.

All in all, we had great weather, great food, great fun with the cornhole game, and a great game. Especially since the Packers won! Now 7-1!
