Weekend Tailgate and Backyard Fun!

What a great forecast for the weekend! Supposed to be mid-70s and sunny! We are heading up to the Iowa State - Oklahoma game in Ames to catch some rays and to play a little cornhole beanbag game! Nothing like tailgating when the weather is going to be great! Not so sure about the game, considering the Cyclones are looking for only their second victory of the year and the Sooners are one tough team. The Sooner Scooner will probably get its workout on Saturday. But you never know. Crossing my fingers and hoping the cornhole game contests will be a little closer than the football score from last week. 56-3 Texas beat Iowa State. Nuts!

Also got a great order the other day for an NFL colored cornhole board. It is going to mimic the top of the helmet for the Green Bay Packers, and then have a circle for the logo below the hole. I don't have the rights to any sports logos (yet). But I am more than willing to work with anyone on what they want their design to be. The future owner of the beanbag game will put his own sticker or logo on it. Cool idea! I am going to get started on this one after the weekend. My wife is running the Des Moines Half Marathon this weekend, so will go root her and a couple friends on. Go Jenny! Who knows, maybe I can talk my friends into coming out and rooting her on, while we play some cornhole beanbag games along Grey's Lake. All you runners look for us there!

I am sure afterwards we'll hit one of the local watering holes and then probably come back to watch some football and play some backyard games! Throw the bags!

Did anyone by chance happen to see the writeup in the Des Moines Register on Monday? Its in the Entertainment section about the cornhole game, bean bag game, bags, baggo, or whatever you like to call it.

Even though it doesn't show a lot of fashion sense for Iowans, it does show the popularity of this game. Did I mention Iowa State won that game? Yeah!!!

Check out the tournament in Davenport in November. Practice up!

There is also a weekly tournament at Volley's here in Des Moines on Wednesdays. I think I may head down there and throw some bags!

Start Me Up!

Hello all! Very excited about starting up the new business. Whether you call it cornhole, baggo, bean bag game, tailgate toss, or just plain bags, we have it! I am going to post photos, comments, ideas, suggestions, etc. at this blog sight. I am going to try to become more of a morning person (hello coffee!) and am going to try to post something here every few mornings.

I'll be talking about the cornhole games we have sent out and hopefully giving you ideas on what type of bag game board you would like to order. Thanks!
